But my point in my first post on why people give was that they are seeking to achieve “self-actualization” (a fancy term for what people seek after they have all their basic needs taken care of). I’d argue that both men and women are seeking to satisfy this need, but at the micro level different things might lead each gender to feel self-actualized.
