I discovered you on Twitter. I have a bit of a different take on this. My ten-year-old daughter and I are the co-founders of KidsAreHeroes.com – a web site that showcases children becoming involved in philanthropic acts at a young age. I feel privileged to have them on our web site. Their diversity of causes that are all so personal to them are so heartwarming that it is hard not to try and help each one.

In the end though I am not disagreeing. Between Kids Are Heroes and Wags for Hope (a pet therapy group started by my dog Charlie) we genuinely live and breathe both organizations. By helping all the kids we are focusing on one campaign and that is to keep Kids Are Heroes successful. Anyway, I plan to follow you on Twitter and hope we can exchange more ideas in the future. -Gabe

Although I would invite anyone to invetigate our organization thoroughly, I love the approach you took with this post. Part of the intention behind ChristmasFuture is to educate North Americans and counter the poverty of spirit many of us end up feeling around the holiday season.

We see part of our mission as getting people to look at themselves and their habits around holiday spending and consumerism–very similar to what you said about living one’s values consistently.
