Dear Sharon,
I was enchanted by your description of “The Philanthropic Family” so I thought I’d write. I’m a filmmaker dedicated to crafting relevant, compelling films that make the world a better place. People automatically assume that if a documentary is well-meaning that it’s boring and I want to change that! I currently directing/producing TRIAL BY FIRE: Lives Re-Forged, a feature documentary that follows the inspiring and surprising journeys of seven burn survivors as they reclaim their lives after surviving the devastation of fire. I hope that you’ll take a look at the trailer and web site and get back to me. Thanks for doing what you’re doing. It gives me hope.

Hi Gabe! Thanks for your tweet and for your note. I did see your tweet and checked out Mary Margaret’s site. I appreciate all that you do to help kids accomplish their goals of helping others–you seem to be a great catalyst and important cheerleader for getting kids actively involved for a lifetime of service. Re MLK Day, I’m hoping to get out from behind the keyboard for a day and use my hands in a different way. But I”ll be sure to feature your web site and efforts in an upcoming post on “Inspirational Kids: Doing a Lot When You’re Little.” Thank you for all that you do!!

Hi Sharon, Wondering if you had any luck following your post of a few months ago: “Working on piece on why food rescue programs don’t advertise restaurants who give leftovers” – as I am wondering the same! I just joined twitter as “greatertable” and am interested in ways to encourage more perishable food donations. Love your blog, especially being a new 1st time mom!
